Happy - More than Words March Mini Challenge

Hello Crafty friends!

Long time, no see, right? My blog may be silent but I am working like crazy preparing many many things!
If only I could share yet! (tease) :)

Its time for the Mini Chellange in More than Words! And boy it is an easy one this time - just use the word "Happy" on a card, tag or atc! Easy peasy!

My happy card made with the Prima cofee break collection. Chipboard pieces are Dusty Attic and the beautiful paste is Shimmerz Texturez in Artiechoked.

My color palette was inspired by March Prima Product Pick

Love - March moodboard inspiration from Valia Katzaki

Hello crafty friends!

Today I hope I can inspire you
with my interpetation of Dusty Attic's March moodboard!

Life is a journey and what could be more fitting than the wedding photo of my in-laws, who spend their lives together in love! And of course, many Dusty Attic chipboard pieces to compliment my photo.

I loved the Federation frame from the very forst moment I saw it!
I wanted it to be dominant on my layout so I chose a coordinating embossing powder (Adirondack EP - Espresso) to give it texture and dimension. It gives a nice worn look, perfect for my vintage photo.

My title was also heat embossed with Shabby-looking Frantage Embossing enamel in aged ivory and so was my sea grass too.

ATCs για το CraftyLife

Chipboards
Lace/ Ribbons
Patterned Paper (s)
Rubons
Mists
Die Cuts
Stamps
Crystals
Flowers

To chipboard frame ειναι της Dusty Attic και χρωματίστηκε με Finnabair Peach Opal mica ανακατεμένο με gloss gel medium.

Ευχαριστώ Crafty Life Challenges!

Altered Rubik's cube for Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo

Hello crafty friends!

I am back again today to show youone of my most favorite creations ever.
I think altered items have stolen my heart! ;)

This month at Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo we have a new and fun challenge: Keys!

This is my take on the challenge. It started as an advertising Rubik's cube.

And here is how I altered it.

I used Prima Marketing ignition keys for my challenge and a vintage image from 7 dots studio "Cold Country" collection.
The cube was misted with Finnabair mica powders in my favorite colors, Teal, Deep Water and Bottle Green.

I used a Finnabair stensil and Finnabair Graphite Paste for texture and extra shimmer.
Notice on the corner and stenciled areas how efficiently the graphite paste absorbs the micas and how much more it shines! Brilliant I tell you!

Another view with a Tim Holtz nib pen as a corner decoration.

This Rubik's cube is a present for my husband to go along with the altered globe I made for him (original post here)

Remeber to visit the blog to see the amazing creations from our Design Team and dont forget the prizes! 7 dots studio are releasing new collections and I am dyyyying to play with them!
I'm sure you cant wait too!

Happy - LO for More than Words March challenge

Hello crafty friends!

Another month, another exciting challenge at More Than Words!

Our Main Challenge is based on a Word Inspiration & a Creative Challenge.
This challenge is open to layouts, canvases and art journal pages only.

Word Inspiration - BLISS
Creative Challenge - GESSO

What does the word BLISS inspire you to create?
You can choose to use the word somewhere on your project or to simply be inspired by it. Please explain in your blog post how the word inspired you
if it's not already obvious.

For our creative challenge this month, we want you to use GESSO on your project.
Chances are you have a bottle of gesso on your craft table, ready to be dipped into when it's crafty time! Be it white, clear, black or any other colour, light or thick, smooth or textured, we want to see you incorporate it in your creative process. Try it on your background, chipboard, embellishments or however you desire! If you don't have any ready-made gesso, you can even make your own!
(Google 'handmade gesso recipe' and you will find numerous alternatives!)

It's 'prime' time to get crafty!!

VERY IMPORTANT!!!  You have to incorporate both parts of the challenge, the word inspiration & the creative challenge, on your project to be eligible to win.  When we vote, we specifically look for projects that display BOTH requirements, and not just the creative challenge. Just look at our DT members' interpretation as example.

Remember that you must include our board image
and a link to our blog in your entry post.
Please check out our RULES!

This is my interpretation of the challenge

My little boy is the epitomy of joy, laughter and mischief, always on the run and always happy. He really made a difference in our lives, bringing us so much joy! I have used gesso everywhere on my layout, clear gesso to protect my paper, white gesso to make random patterns on my paper and black and white gesso for splatters.

I used Prima Marketing "Stationer's Desk" collection, the dark colors matched my photo perfectly.
I painted my gorgeous Dusty Attic chipboard black and embellished it with Finnabair black microbeads.
My background was made using Colourarte Burnt Amber pigment and Carmin Red silks. Clear crackle paste was also applied through a stencil for extra texture.

Some close ups

There are amazing prizes waiting for you! Will you play along? We cant wait!
