Beautiful mermaid

Hello everyone! I am here today with a layout about my sweet step-daughter! Two years ago we visited the beautiful island of Leykada and the famous Porto Katsiki beach. My husband took the most incredible photos of her without her posing, maybe that’s why the photos were gorgeous!

Here’s the layout

A little – or should I say a lot? – different than what you are used from me, right? This is the first LO I believe that is made without the use of any paper, just white cardstock. Firstly I misted the cardstock with plenty of water and then with my Dylusions London blue mist and a homemade mist made of water, TA Pomegranate and Ingvild Bolme’s Hydrangea chalk ink. Ingvild Bolme’s pads are so juicy (have I mentioned how much I love them? Sure I have!) that I managed to squeeze easily some color out of the pad and into the mister. After that, it’s all flowers, Prima and a Petaloo that I colored to match the LO, washi tape, a Pink Paisley artisan heart, crackle accents drops (I am addicted to those lately), stamping, masking and sequins. “Sequins? Yeah right” was my first reaction when a fellow About a Boy DT member asked what we thought of this new trend a couple of months back. But when I saw the Purple Pumpkin’s gorgeous August sketch, I knew I had to scrap that photo using sequins! lol

Καλημέρα σε όλους! Εφτιαξα μια καρτουλα για μια φιλη που γενναει σε λίγες μερες με την αγαπημενη σφραγιδα baby Edwin! Με την καρτα αυτη θα παρω μερος στην πρόκληση καρτας του Get Creative.

Χρησιμοποιησα λινατσα για να ισοσταθμισω το γκλιτερ των λουλουδιων και του στεματος. Τα χαρτια ειναι ΜΜΕ και τα λουλουδια ειναι της Prima.

Our Love

Hello everyone! It is a big holiday here in Greece and at least for me a reminder that summer is almost gone… Anyway, off to our new, August 15th challenge of About a Boy challenge blog. This one is pretty easy: anything goes! You can create whatever you like as long as there a male on your layout, even if he is with a girl!
Thus I decided to scrap my sweet hubby who is the least scrapped person in our family, lol! This photo means so much to me and brings me bittersweet memories…

2 (of my) men

Hello everyone! It’s a hot August here in Athens Greece but we do the best we can! Today I have a new LO about 2 of the most precious men in my life, my husband and my older son. The photo’s quality is poor because it’s from my hubbie’s I phone but it was a spontaneous photo showing the two of them playing together. The photo is precious to me because the two of them have so little time to play together, it’s hard to have three children and work so many hours a day…

Here’s the LO

I loooove my Lemon Zest Dylusions mist! I used liquid pearls for the yellow dots and Crackle Accents for the transparent dots. The crackle accents drops that are over a yellow misted area are looking yellow, cool right? I prefer to use crackle accents over Glossy Accents because the bubble has more texture inside.

The journaling reads “You get to spend so little time together, that every time you play together is a celebration! I just love seeing the two of you together! Cant wait for your brother to grow up too”. The Crackle Accents dot prevents the journaling card from falling inside its pocket.

With this LO, I will play along with BITW’s challenge – use the word Celebrate.

Hello everyone!

I’m back with another DT layout for the August 1st challenge of About A Boy. The challenge this time is to create a LO using a school photo or a photo of a playgroup. And since my boy is very young for both, I scrapped a photo of him inside his crib playing with his favorite toys.
