You and Me = Delight

Hello everyone! Today I will show you a mixed media page that was inspired by the Pop and Colors 2 workshop and the gorgeous Prima February mood board. I used mint, coral and cinnamon mist as well as a finnabair stencil for my background. I wanted the page to have an "airy" feel to match the pastel colors so I filled it with butterflies coming alive from the stencil but I curled them up and only glued the center of them. The chipboard was gessoed and then painted with picket fence crackle paint. After that, it was stamped with a script stamp and dabbed randomly with chalk ink. This photo is of my oldest son and it was taken a year ago. Hidden journaling is on the back.

Joy & happiness – GD at WW1

Hello! Today I want to show you a layout I made as Guest Designer for White with 1. February’s color is the lush grape and I have lots of fun playing with it! The only color I used is Dylusions’ Crushed Grape. I misted my page with lots of Dylusions mist and plenty of water and used my Finnabair stencil. I applied crackle paste on some of the butterflies and heat embossed with white powder with a prima text stamp. I matted my photo on corrugated chipboard which I had painted with picket fence crackle paint. I did the same on my ID chipboard and on the words Joy & happiness. Most of the products you can find at the Scraps n Pieces online shop.

Mini me – SIG and C’est magnifique

Hello everyone! This is going to be the quickest post ever, I have a deadline to catch! :)

Scrapbookers in Greece January challenge was a sweet one, to scrap ourselves during our childhood and since we all got two days extra time I thought I should give it a shot. This page was supposed to be not filled with flowers (lol I swear I started that way) and it took me all day because in the mean time I fed two babies three times, changed endless nappies and even cleaned vomits. Oh my, it’s tough to be a mommy!

I also used C’est Magnifique’s February sketch as an inspiration. I used a past kit (sorry, no time to find which month) and I combined it with February’s mixed media kit. Oh I loved the pearlising modeling paste and the shimmerz!!! I apologize for the photo, it is already nighttime here…

This is pretty much a traditional scrapbooking page. I like this style, I am not into all the mixed media madness, I go as far as modeling paste and stenciling lol, and let me tell you sometimes it feels lonely. Occasionally I love experimenting (please check my next post for WW1) but this is my style and I intend to stay true and loyal to it. Lets see how the future goes…

Remember

Hello everyone! I am back today with a layout made for the January sketch challenge of Life Paper Scrapbook. It’s been a while now that I wanted to create a grid layout and this sketch was my perfect opportunity. I was also inspired by the amazing page made by Camilla Ekman (she is one of my top 3 favorite international scrappers!). I tried to keep a more clean look for my page to match the sketch but you can still spot my (hopefully) recognizable clusters. :)  I used a past kit from C’est Magnifique with some gorgeous Pion Designs papers. The journaling is in the back of my page. The photo is from my oldest son’s christening taken from Aliki Koronaiou.

Live Happy

Hello everyone! Happy 2014!
Here I am with a belated post! 2014 so far has been creative for me but I can't reveal anything yet, it's a surprise! :)
My page is based on workshop 3 & 4 of Pop and Colors 2. It began with a white page but typical me, I ended up covering the new technique with my cluster. The background color is something between light olive green and mint but I am afraid the photo doesn’t do it justice. Anyways, here it is, inspired also by the OUAS January challenge. My journaling is in a pocket tag behind my photo and expresses my love for my younger and unexpected son, who is a gift from life to me after everything that has happened the past years. I learnt my lesson, life is unpredictable and the joys walk hand in hand with the sorrows...

I feel that this page isn't really me, I don't know... What do you think? Do you think my style is recognizable in this layout? I would love your feedback on this.
